Biography
The Fods are a transatlantic writing and recording partnership who augment their unique indie Punk rock sound with some of the most talented vocalists around.
Comprising of a rotating cast of collaborators, stretching back to long-standing writing partnerships from the ’90s right through to new cohorts found in the Wild West that is the internet.
As a result the material is eclectic, but always guitar forward, genre traversing, energetic tunes. Writers, performers, collaborators and technicians contribute from anywhere across this earth, so each song will have its own individual sensation.
As of Spring 2023 The Fods entered a “write an EP in a month” challenge, the result of which was the “One To Watch” EP, named after the accolade it was awarded. The lead-off single Gil Barco, was release on all streaming platforms on 14th July 2023, with the EP following on 13th October.
In late 2023 The Fods started the Don’t ARgue project which revisits the very earliest ancestry of Good Stock Records, modernizing tracks recorded on 4-track tape by the band of the same name in the early 1990’s. The lead single You’ve Not Got Me dropped late Dec 2023, with 2nd single My Fine Derangement in May 2024 and 3rd single Volumes of Silence following in August.
The project came to a noisy conclusion with the EP release on streaming services and a run of digipak CDs in September 2024.

Don’t ARgue Album
The Don’t ARgue project is complete. 7 songs. 7 styles which have been years in the making.
Don’t ARgue were a student band in a leafy Cheshire (UK) town in the mid 90s. We put some songs together, played a few gigs, won a battle of the bands and went our separate ways.
The Fods have spent the last 15 months revisiting what went down in the 90s and rebuilt these songs using some incredible indie talent. Several protagonists from our native North West England have been involved, along with talent from Scotland, the North East and the South West of the UK, together with contributions from New York, New Jersey and Toronto in the Americas.
With a collaborative approach, each song has its own individual vibe, but being underpinned by The Fods distinctive guitar-forward sound.
